INTRODUCTION

The Tar & Roses range of wines reflects a modern Australian take on the great wines of Spain and Italy as well as some classic Australian varietals

It grew from a desire to make iconic European wines in Central Victoria and the belief that an integral part of the enjoyment of wine is where you are and who you’re with when you drink it.

ABOUT THE BRAND

'Tar' and 'roses' are the signature characteristics of Nebbiolo, the king of Italian red wines and one of the varietals in our range. The name also refers to the original winemaking duo; the legendary Don Lewis and winemaking partner Narelle King.

Sadly, 2017 represented the final vintage of Don Lewis’ prominent 40 year career. Following his passing, Narelle King continues the Tar & Roses tradition of an uncompromising approach, going to extraordinary lengths to source the best fruit possible from local vineyards.
